Deborah Marshall-Warren has had an online presence at from www.marshall-warren.com since she first started her practice in 1995. During this time, the number of other web sites relating to hypnotherapy has increased greatly, as indeed has the whole internet. It would now be a full-time job to monitor and catalogue the whole field of hypnotherapy on the internet - even in the UK. So, this is a tiny sample of pointers to what is now online. Therapists in England

For a nunber of years, Deborah has run a training course, accredited by the Hypnotherapy Society. Some students have gone on start succesful careers in hypnotherapy. Click on this page to see three of them.


Hypnotherapy Society

The Hypnotherapy Society is a leading professional organisation for practising hypnotherapists in the UK. It incorporates the Hypnotherapy Research Society. The Society has been specifically formed for the academic research and study of hypnotherapy and clinical hypnosis. It is not linked to any group, organisation or training college and its funding is solely from members' contributions with appropriate donations to the Society for prizes to members. The Society is an independent venture dedicated to encourage specific high quality research into clinical hypnosis and hypnotherapy and to provide a source of knowledge for the further professional education of members, associated groups and students.

Deborah Marshall-Warren is an Emeritus Fellow of the Society. The Society's journal has published a review of Deborah's book, Mind Detox.

Working Group for Hypnotherapy Regulation

The Working Group for Hypnotherapy Regulation is a UK organisation developing voluntary self-regulation for hypnotherapists in a democratic manner.

The Institute for Complementary Medicine

The Institute for Complementary Medicine (ICM) was formed in 1982 to provide the public with information on Complementary Medicine. As part of that programme, it has initiated a research project to develop ways to control, regulate and research all the different disciplines and techniques in ways that protect the qualified practitioners and ensure safety of the general public. It is a registered charity.

The Research Council for Complementary Medicine

The RCCM was founded in 1983 by a group of enthusiatic practitioners and researchers from both orthodox and complementary medicine. Today, our aim is to develop and extend the evidence base for complementary medicine in order to provide practitioners and their patients with information about the effectiveness of individual therapies and the treatment of specific conditions. Their web site is hosted by the University of Westminster.

The Retreat Company

A guide to spiritual retreats, covering: yoga and breathing, meditation, healing, relationships, family, and expression, overseas holidays, seers and saints, ayurveda, personal development, healing therapies, venue sites, professional register. Their magazine has published an article by Deborah, Some Tips for Retreat Training, and a review of Deborah's book, Mind Detox.


Power of Oratory

David Bullock has been a professional business manager and public speaker for over forty years. This has involved training, leading and speaking to large groups both in the corporate sphere and on national TV and the World Service. Deborah has delivered presentations at Power of Oratory seminars.


Chrysalis

Chrysalis runs Royal College of Nursing accredited courses in hypnotherapy and counselling in 26 national venues. .

The Soothsayer Foundation This is a UK company, founded in 1987, offers training in hypnotherapy. The Principal is Steve Sinclair (FWIPH, D.Hyp.MHF). Soothsayer's web site contains the prospectus for training courses and workshops, details of available therapy, and background articles. Apart from its main training course, Soothsayer also offers workshops twice a year, and home study courses. The organisation has invited Deborah as a special guest speaker three times, to give day-long seminars.

Included in the articles section of the web site is the very interesting Report of the Expert Panel Appointed to Consider the Effects of Participation in Performances of Stage Hypnosis.

Austin Corporate International

Valerie Austin offers a range of courses in interactive hypnotherapy, including courses for beginners. Courses are run in London and Malaysia.

HypnoForum

Online discussion group (unmoderated) and pages of links to web sites. This facility is sponsored by the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and is provided solely for the benefit of public use.

The Alchemy Institute of Healing Arts

(Formerly the Alchemical Hypnotherapy Institute.) This is a very interesting site about spiritually-oriented interactive hypnotherapy. The Institute provides training in this style of therapy, as well as retreats in the mystical mountains of Sedona, Arizona. The web site provides details of their training in the transformative Jungian style of hypnotherapy that they call 'alchemical'. There is also a good 'library' of articles.

"Although it is a widely respected school of hypnotherapy, Alchemical work differs from other hypnosis technologies in its synthesis of spiritual and psychological perspectives. An Alchemical Hypnotherapist simply uses hypnosis to facilitate a client's personal journey into their inner world to find the ultimate teachers, guides and therapist...the ones who live inside themselves."
 

The American Pacific University

A degree-granting institute approved by the State of California. Offers courses in hypnotherapy and 'esoteric studies'.

Orca Institute

This is a large web site, based in Vancouver. The Orca Institute Inc. offers counselling, hypnotherapy, training (on-site and distance). The web site includes links to other sites, bookstore, and so on.
 


Zoya Lu

Based in Malta, Zoya Lu is a certified yoga instructor who teaches yoga in its ancient and traditional purity -- yet in a modern scientific framework.
